Guesthouse and Retreat Hermitage

The Guesthouse and Retreat Hermitage at Tsogyelgar is located in a secluded woodland forest adjacent to White Lotus Farms in West Ann Arbor, Michigan. The guesthouse is a residential house with a shrine room and five guest rooms, kitchen, eating area, library, gardens and trails. Both short term visits and personal retreats or long term personal retreats can be accommodated. There is also a retreat hut in the forest for solitary retreats. Walking trails to the stupa and Tsogyelgar Dharma Center, as well as a the bi-weekly market at White Lotus Farms meander through gardens, shrines, and nature’s beauty. In the warmer months outdoor camping is also available. Additionally there are over seventy acres of adjacent property comprising the dharma center, farm and sangha houses. Tsogyelgar is one of the largest, if not the largest residential Vajrayana Buddhist community in America. Ngakpas have traditionally been yogic and householding lineage of lay non-monastic practitioners for over 1,200 years.

Guesthouse Rooms

Fully furnished guest rooms are all equipped with meditation cushions and shrine tables. Linens are provided and laundry is available. Meals plans are also available, especially for longer stays.
